I have had my editor’s comments back for a month and a half
now and have only finished work on the introduction and three chapters.
This is harder work than the original writing. Most of that
was easy—I pulled it right out of memory.
Now, I find myself word-smithing line by line and this is
tedious and hard. I am having a good time as the work allows me to revisit the
anecdotes//adventures and spend half the time chuckling and the other half
searching for a better or more correct word. My editor, Cecily Sailor, has done
fantastic work, but it still remains my work nonetheless.
I’m shooting to be finished by the end of May and be well
into the next phase by then also.
